Sounds Of Lovebox, In Selfridges
Iconic department store Selfridges have taken our lead and given the cream of the current musical crop a platform to spread their creative juices for all to see.
As part of its ‘Sounds of the Mind’ project, Selfridges have invited 10 of the music industries most delectable artists to take over the shops’ famous window displays with artwork inspired by a particular song of their own creation.
Of these, the work of Lovebox 2010’s very own Dizzee Rascal, Paloma Faith, Empire of the Sun and Hot Chip will adorn Selfridges’ famous Oxford Street shop windows until the end of June. Added to that, former Lovebox fave Florence Welch, of Florence and the Machine, has also chipped in with her design for current single ‘Cosmic Love’.
There will also be a ‘guess that song’ competition and weekly quizzes hosted by none other than Sunday’s Main Stage compere, Jonny Woo.
The designs provided by Dizzee, Paloma, Hot Chip and Empire of the Sun can be seen below:
Dizzee Rascal - ‘Bonkers’

Paloma Faith - ‘Do You Want The Truth, Or Something Beautiful?’

Empire of the Sun - ‘Walking On A Dream’

Hot Chip - ‘I Feel Better’

Florence and the Machine - ‘Cosmic Love’
